Nova Scotia has committed to be net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. While the province has achieved significant reductions in greenhouse gas emissions since 2005, and is a leader in Canada, there is no single action that will get us to net-zero by 2050. Given the challenge to achieve net-zero, EfficiencyOne, in collaboration with Ralph Torrie, has authored a White Paper that explores the technological and related challenges and opportunities inherent in achieving a steep decline in greenhouse gas emissions and also identifies strategies to get to net-zero. This session will explore those strategic actions and pathways to achieving net-zero in Nova Scotia.
