Through this conference, early career scientists will have the opportunity to meet colleagues from around the globe who share similar interests and an enthusiasm to improve equality and diversity in marine science. The conference aims to foster the development of contacts, collaborations, and associations among early career scientists that will persist for decades, and to establish personal and institutional networks that will help to advance our understanding of the marine environment.
The theme, Ocean sciences for the future we want, links to the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development 2021-2030 and the important role early career scientists play in the current and future health of our oceans and coasts for the benefit of humanity.
