Details

Delve into the world of careers in conservation and join us for a live talk with Katie, Youth Engagement Officer, Marine Conservation Society. Katie will chat about her unusual route into the conservation world, how she gained experience working with some of the most endangered species on the planet, and the variety of interesting and rewarding roles available within the Marine Conservation Society.

The Marine Conservation Society is the UK’s leading marine conservation charity focussing on fighting for a cleaner, better-protected, healthier ocean that we can all enjoy. It has over one hundred staff located across the UK and the UK Overseas Territories. From scientists to fundraising, IT to HR, there are so many jobs essential to conservation today.

During the talk, Katie will provide helpful tips on how to get in to the industry, and advice on following your passions. If you’re interested in working outdoors, with animals, or just generally in the environmental field … this talk is for you!

This live talk, aimed at secondary students, will be informative and engaging. There will be the opportunity to ask questions afterwards.

This virtual secondary school assembly talk will take place using MS Teams Live. The platform has safeguarding built-in to make it a safe online environment, especially for young people, including no webcams or microphones and a live Q&A function which is fully moderated.
