Ocean Innovation Africa is a platform that showcases African ocean-impact initiatives and brings together international changemakers working to support sustainable, equitable growth of the African ocean economy.

The annual summit highlights opportunities for innovators and investors interested in development of ocean-impact solutions and convenes key stakeholders capable of assessing and enabling sustainable growth of the ocean economy in Africa.

The 2023 event will take place in person in Cape Town as the official summit of The Ocean Race Cape Town Stopover. Conference sessions run from the 21st to the 24th of February, just in time to catch the race restart over the weekend.

The summit showcases African ocean-impact startups through exhibitions, pitch sessions, and demos. Plenary discussions draw on the insights of innovators, investors, decision makers, and thought leaders to provide informed perspective on the challenges and opportunities within each sector.
