In this webinar, we will provide an overview of MERIDIAN’s data management facet, including our goals and current focus. MERIDIAN released v1.0 of our Discovery Portal for cataloguing metadata on Ocean data on April 1st, to aid in the discovery and reuse of these valuable resources. We will describe the background leading to the creation of the portal, and the metadata standard established to describe the marine data. A demonstration of the portal’s functionality will be provided, to give a sense of the capabilities available from this new resource. Finally, we plan to show and discuss how this portal structure could be accessed for reuse and/or customization by your own teams, to meet your specific needs.
