Details
The Reconciling Ways of Knowing: Indigenous Knowledge and Science Forum conference society, along with partners from the David Suzuki Foundation, Turtle Lodge Centre for Indigenous Education and Wellness and Indigenous Leadership Initiative have joined forces to facilitate a national dialogue between ways of knowing which brings the most advanced knowledge together to produce comprehensive and effective solutions for responding to the challenge of climate change, protect biodiversity and our own health and wellness, build thriving and sustainable economies, and honour commitments to reconciliation and a nation-to-nation relationship.
Ways of Knowing will take place on the original lands of Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene peoples.
We respect the Treaties that were made on these territories, we acknowledge the harms and mistakes of the past, and we dedicate ourselves to move forward in partnership with Indigenous communities in a spirit of reconciliation and collaboration.
