Co-hosted by the Offshore Fishery Association and Canada’s Ocean Supercluster as part of NATI Innovation Week 2020.

About this Event

Currently, 17% of the production of edible protein comes from the ocean. As global food demand rises, experts predict that percentage will grow by 36–74% (or 21–44 million tonnes of seafood) over the next 30 years. This growth not only presents an economic opportunity for Newfoundland and Labrador, but also points to the importance of developing and maintaining healthy, sustainable oceans.

Join experts from wild fishery, aquaculture, ocean technology, and global seafood retail for a live virtual discussion exploring why the key to realizing this incredible opportunity lies in sustainability and innovation.

Panelists include:

  • Ocean Choice International
  • Newfoundland & Labrador Aquaculture Industry Association (NAIA)
  • eDNAtec
  • Young’s Seafood

Please note: A link to the virtual panel discussion will be sent to your email inbox 24-hours prior to the event.
