Required attributes for all employees

Location: Pisces RPM is a distributed organization with employees responsible for both determining and providing an appropriate work location for their productivity, including internet, phone, appropriate office furniture and amenities. Pisces RPM will supply necessary work supplies to execute the work, including a computer, printer, scanner, and other office supplies as needed.

Hours: Flexible, minimum of 10 hours a week. Pisces is a flexible work schedule but maintains a communication standard of 1 workday internally and 2 workdays externally, unless otherwise agreed, creating a need for a minimum of 2 hours during each workday (M-F, 08:00-17:00) of the week.

Junior Data and Information Management Advisor

Primary responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assisting with data management activities
  • Assisting in managing a team doing full-stack web development, including:
    • Database design and implementation
    • Back-end web development in Python and Django
    • Front-end web development with CSS, JavaScript, and HTML
    • Assist on the design/creation/implementation of projects. 

What we’re looking for

  • Experience working with: 
    • Ocean data management 
    • A scripting language e.g. Python Web technologies(HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
    • Relational databases
    • Version control systems like Git
    • Linux

  • Perform web design, development, and maintenance including front-end, back-end, and database development
  • Provide internal IT support to a small company that live and work all over the world.
  • Assist in the design/creation/implementation of internal projects.

Pisces RPM is seeking someone with lived Indigenous experience to: 

  • Monitor and advise team on developments within specialty
  • Contribute to initiating, building, and supporting positive relationships and partnerships with Indigenous groups and organizations 
  • Generate and maintain contacts
  • Advise and recommend strategies to engage with Indigenous groups to achieve collaborative, effective, and meaningful participation in projects/ initiatives  
  • Advise and recommend strategies internally and externally
  • Assist the Sr. Advisor with the development of internal Indigenous reconciliation and cultural sensitivity awareness module to be implemented in Pisces’ onboarding 
  • Manage execution of strategies 
  • Recruit new clients/partners within specialty
  • Be comfortable with researching new prospects for Indigenous business and relationship development opportunities
  • Participate in the development and deployment of programs/ initiatives and existing partnerships
  • Create communications and actively engage with online community via Social Media
